Golden Beach

I referenced this one from a photograph I had found online. The person who took the image captured the gold reflection of the sky upon the water so beautifully, I could not resist trying to recreate that glow. The Sun sparkling on the water is soothing to me. The rocks laying around the beach in the image were not as round as mine and the tree in the image was more like a pink pepper tree. I felt a much softer flow coming from my brush as I painted.
I loved every moment of this project and it's one I love looking at regularly. I encourage anyone reading this to try your hand at acrylic painting. Once you begin smearing paint around the canvas and watching what emerges from you very own hands, you'll relax and forget the entire world during your painting sessions. It is the ultimate relaxation technique. Never worry that your painting does not look like the original or like the reference photo you've chosen, it's not supposed to! Your paintings should reflect who you are and what your mind sees, thinks, and feels. The idea is to look at something and convey what you see in your own style. Talent just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Enjoy your work and share it with the world.
